Meet the Makers, Annastasia and Jordan Castro of Port Living based in Charleston, South Carolina. The idea for Port Living happened over a decade ago, while Annastasia and Jordan were living in Boston. Their love for cooking and entertaining, coupled with their experience with large scale pre-cast concrete projects led them to design products to suit today’s lifestyle culture.
Today Port Living creates minimalistic, modern, clean concrete home goods for the kitchen, bar, tabletop, home office and home bath! You can complete looks from kitchen counter products like trivets, canisters, paper towel holders, utensil holders and bowls. For the tabletop peruse their salt cellars and shakers, trivets, coasters, wine chillers and napkin holders. And don't forget the snag their bookends, desktop sets and bathroom counter sets! They are stunning.
After decades of working with architectural concrete on a large scale, the Castros decided to entertain the thought of creating concrete wares for their own use. Their handmade products garnered so much interest amongst their friends and family, that they decided to exclusively craft their specialized line of concrete housewares.
The Castro's hard work and dedication to quality has garnered them some great accolades from 'Emerging Design' recipient and headliner for the 'Accent on Design' section at the New York City NYNOW Show to being honored in the 'Design Debut' section in Chicago by the International Houseware Association.
